Acuité has downgraded the long-term rating to 'ACUITE B' (read as ACUITE B) from ‘ACUITE B+’ (read as ACUITE B plus) on the Rs. 6.00 crore bank facilities of Subbiah Matches (SM) on account of information risk. The rating continues to be flagged as "Issuer Not-Cooperating" and is based on the best available information.

About the Company

Subbiah Matches (SM) is a Tamil Nadu based firm, established in 2007 by Mrs. Veeralakshmi Subburaj. The firm is engaged in manufacturing of cardboard wax stick matchboxes and cardboard wooden stick matchboxes. It has two facilities located at Vembakottai road and Padanthal in Sattur with installed capacity of 4000 bundles per day. The firm sells products under the brand names ‘Speed’, ‘Ped’, ‘Baskar’, ‘Raja’, ‘Punkat’ and ‘Umbrella’.
