Improvement in scale of operation:
The company’s revenue increased to Rs. 1,775.07 crore in FY26 (Prov.) from Rs. 1,418.43 crore in FY25. Revenue in FY25 was impacted by weak demand from African markets following India's temporary restrictions on non-basmati rice exports, which led several overseas buyers to shift to alternative sourcing countries. However, with the removal of export restrictions and improvement in demand, revenue recovered significantly in FY26 (Prov.). Nevertheless, business during Q4 FY26 was affected by the West Asia conflict and higher logistics costs, resulting in slower execution of export orders. Further, the company reported revenue of Rs. 679.76 crore in 5MFY27 as against Rs. 538.68 crore in 5MFY26, indicating continued growth in the near to medium term. Further, the Company has outstanding order book of Rs. 1522 crore which provides revenue visibility in the medium term. Despite the growth in topline, the EBITDA margin remained stable at 3.26% in FY26 (Prov.), in line with FY25. The margin was impacted by higher logistics costs from Q4FY26. Consequently, the PAT margin improved to 1.06% in FY26 (Prov.) from 0.85% in FY25.Acuite believes scale of operation may improve over the medium term; however, improvement in profitability will remain key monitorable.

Total net worth increased to Rs.323.42 crore in FY 26 (Prov.) against Rs.304.52 crore in FY25, driven by profit accretion. Gearing has been 1.78 times in FY 26 (Prov.) from 0.81 times in FY 25. The debt EBDITA has weakened due to onboarding of short term debt for meeting its working capital requirements. Acuité believes that the financial risk profile will remain moderate in the near to medium term in the absence of debt-funded capex plans.
Intensive Working capital cycle:
The working capital cycle stood intensive, with gross current asset (GCA) days increasing to 189 days in FY26 (Prov.) from 131 days in FY25, primarily on account of elongated receivables. Debtor days increased to 101 days in FY26 (Prov.) from 41 days in FY25, driven by the booking of around 23% of annual revenue in March 2026 and the company's average collection period of approximately 90 days. As per the management, collections were delayed in FY26 due to a delay in the delivery of a major export order, as the vessel took longer than expected to reach the destination. As a result, the buyer could not take the full order at one time, and the company stored the goods and dispatched them gradually as and when required by the customer. This led to a delay in the realization of receivables. Inventory days stood at 76 days in FY26 (Prov.) as compared to 71 days in FY25, with a significant portion of inventory held in the form of finished goods to meet customer demand. However, current assets declined to Rs. 48.40 crore in FY26 (Prov.) from Rs. 66.58 crore in FY25, mainly due to lower advances extended to suppliers. Further, creditor days increased to 21 days in FY26 (Prov.) from 11 days in FY25. Acuité believes that the company's working capital management is likely to improve going forward, supported by continuous monitoring and timely collection of receivables.
