Rating Rationale

Acuité has downgraded the long-term rating to ‘ACUITE B+’ (read as ACUITE B plus) from 'ACUITE BB-' (read as ACUITE double B minus) on the Rs.24.20 Cr. bank facilities of Sambaragi Traders (ST) on account of information risk. The rating continues to be flagged as “Issuer Not-Cooperating” and is based on the best available information.

About the Company

Kolhapur based Sambaragi Traders (ST), established by Mr. S.V. Pattanshetti, commenced operations in 1973. The Company is headed by Mr. R.M. Sambaragi, Mr. B.S. Pattanshetti, Mr. Manish R. Sambaragi and others. The firm trades in Indian Made Foreign Liquor for United Spirits Limited and Diageo India Private Limited and is the dealer in Kolhapur, Sangli, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg regions.
