Rating Rationale

Acuité has downgraded the long-term rating to ‘ACUITE B-’ (read as ACUITE B minus) from 'ACUITE B' (read as ACUITE B) on the Rs.30.00 Cr. bank facilities of Batra Rice Mills on account of information risk. The rating continues to be flagged as “Issuer Not-Cooperating” and is based on the best available information.

About the Company

Based in Karnal, Haryana, Batra rice mills was established in 1969 by Mr. Mohinder Mohan Batra and Mrs. Seema Batra. The firm is engaged in the milling of basmati rice. BRM has installed capacity of 8 tons per hour (tph) for rice milling and a sortex plant with capacity of 6 tph at its facility located in Karnal (Haryana).
