ACTPL's working capital operations remain moderately intensive in nature, as reflected by Gross Current Assets (GCA) days of 149 days in FY2026 (Prov.) compared to 96 days in FY2025. The increase was largely on account of a rise in debtor days to 118 days in FY2026 (Prov.) from 62 days in FY2025. Susceptibility of profitability to volatility in input prices, forex fluctuations in a competitive industry
ACTPL operates in a highly fragmented and competitive chemical trading industry, which limits pricing flexibility and exerts pressure on margins. The company's profitability remains susceptible to fluctuations in chemical prices and foreign exchange rates due to its dependence on imported products, although import purchases moderated to around 25% of total procurement in FY2026 from 41% in FY2025. The company also derives a portion of its revenues from exports, which exposes it to currency fluctuations; however, the forex risk is mitigated to an extent through natural hedging arising from imports and exports as well as the use of forward contracts for hedging foreign currency exposures. Nevertheless, earnings remain vulnerable to adverse movements in commodity prices, exchange rates and competitive pressures.
